According to a new report, when Dwayne Johnson takes to the screen as Black Adam, he won’t be the only DC character making an appearance. Heroic Hollywood is reporting that when the film begins shooting – possibly – in Spring 2020, Hawkman will be who Black Adam will be tussling with.
While Hawkman has made multiple appearances on the small screen, he’s been a missing ingredient on the big screen for years now. The two characters have fought numerous times in the comics, so it’s not a crazy idea to see them do it on the big screen. And it will also give the film a visually interesting character that won’t make general audiences just think it’s a movie about Shazam in a black suit.
There’s no word as of yet who will be playing Hawkman, but it’s sure to be a highly sought after role. While Hawkman has never been an A-List character, you would be hard-pressed to find people who aren’t aware of who he is.
We’ll just have to wait and see if the report is accurate, but we certainly hope so. An introduction for Hawkman in a film such as this would make it far easier for him to spin off into his own film, and that’s something everyone would love to see.
Black Adam does not have a release date as of yet.
