Birds of Prey reshoots continue with more stuntwork

It seems they weren’t joking about putting in more stuntwork when it comes to Birds of Prey. It’s been a week now, and Harley (Margot Robbie) is still chasing that same car.

(To be fair, we don’t know if they’ve filmed the car stunt every night)

The latest series of set photos mostly deal with Harley hanging on to different parts of the car, which there are at least three versions of: There is the full car with front platform, car without wheels, car without wheels or roof. The last two could be the same car potentially, but there is no evidence of the roof just being removed in the photos shared.

There hasn’t been any indication of how long these reshoots are slated to last. With rumors still circulating that Robbie will appear in The Suicide Squad, it seems doubtful they will go on for too long. Even if she has to miss the very start of shooting on that film – should she be in it – that shouldn’t be a problem as there are more than enough characters to be filmed until she can arrive.

Now if they would just confirm the cast of The Suicide Squad, we could put some of this to bed.

Birds of Prey (And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) will be the first appearance of Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn since Suicide Squad. She will be joined by Mary Elizabeth Winstead as the Huntress, while Jurnee Smollett-Bell will be playing Black Canary. Rosie Perez will be playing Renee Montoya, and Ella Jay Basco as Cassandra Cain as well. And Ewan McGregor joined the cast as Gotham City villain Black Mask.

The Birds of Prey movie is scheduled to hit theaters on Feb. 7, 2020.
