It wasn’t the biggest mystery in the universe, but there is finally confirmation that we will be seeing Nightwing in Titans season 2.
When Dick Grayson let his costume burn during season 1 of Titans, it was natural to assume that he would be taking up the mantle of Nightwing. The only question was when it would happen. leaked set photos have shown what appears to be the Nightwing costume on set as the series wraps production on season 2, and now it has been confirmed.
Speaking with ComicBook.com, Brenton Thwaites has confirmed he has indeed worn the Nightwing costume, and even confirms it’s easier to wear. “It’s easier to move in, it’s more flexible, it’s more imposing, and I think that adds to the kind of the feeling that I have when I put it on, which transforms to my character, which is assuming his confidence, and leadership, and strengths.” He went on to add, “It feels imposing, and that’s all I could ask for from a suit.”
Thwaites went on to add, “I find the Nightwing costume is easier to get into character, for sure. The Robin one, maybe because there was so many pieces, so many elements of it, you kind of get covered up too much emotionally. I don’t know if that’s … Yeah, I don’t know. Maybe we should try and analyze this, but the Nightwing costume, although it does cover me up, it feels quite revealing, and I think that’s a good thing for Dick Grayson in that point of the story is that he’s found who he is and he’s revealing himself to people.”
With four episodes down so far, the Nightwing costume can’t be too far off, and we can’t wait to see it.
