The first set photos of The Suicide Squad have surfaced and we finally have some pieces we can put together.
First up, Jai Courtney has a new Captain Boomerang costume that looks a bit more upscale than his last one. Perhaps Amanda Waller paid for an upgrade. We also have our first confirmation that Mayling Ng is indeed playing an alien, but it isn’t clear who she is, but some sources are pointing to Mongal.
There has been a rumor going around that Nathan Fillion is playing Arm-Fall-Off-Boy and judging by the symbol on his costume of a skull with crossed arms, we’re tending to think that is correct. Some are saying Blackguard, however, so it’s still up for debate.
Flula Borg had reportedly only been cast as someone’s boyfriend, but it appears he is playing Javelin while Pate Davidson seems to be Savant.
And, it appears that director James Gunn has again stuck his brother Sean in a mo-cap suit to play Weasel.

We recommend taking all character speculation with a huge dose of salt for now, but it definitely appears the movie is going to look quite a bit different than the last one.
Filming recently began on The Suicide Squad, and it will hit theaters on Aug. 6, 2021.
