Zoe Kravitz has been announced as the newest castmember to join Matt Reeves’ The Batman. She will be playing Catwoman/Selina Kyle opposite Robert Pattinson’s Batman.
According to sources speaking with The Hollywood Reporter, the decision was made over this weekend with a mass testing process against Pattinson. The final four are said to have been Ana de Armas, Ella Balinska, Eiza Gonzalez, and Kravitz.
Matt Reeves confirmed the news with a tweet of Kravitz.

Kravitz has a growing resume including films such as X-Men: First Class, Mad Max: Fury Road, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, and many more. It’s also notable this won’t be her first time playing Catwoman as she voiced the character in The LEGO Batman Movie.
This is just the start of what will be a fairly long string of casting announcements. The Batman is believed to feature six villains from Batman’s Rogues Gallery, and this is the only one with an actor attached so far.
Beyond Pattinson, the only other actor has that been named so far is Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner Gordon. With so many more roles to fill in, and filming said to begin in early 2020, it’s probably going to be a busy few months of announcements.
