Batman: The Definitive History will have a San Francisco launch party

We’re but a week away from the official release of Batman: The Definitive History of the Dark Knight, and I cannot wait for you guys to get your hands on a copy of it.  Like I’ve said before, I’ll have a review up in the next few days, but I can tell you now that you’re going to want to get this book. It’s meticulously researched with an insane amount of detail, yet is written with such a confident, welcoming voice that the pages just fly by.

This Saturday, October 19, Insight Editions will be having a launch party for the book at the Cartoon Art Museum in San Francisco, where the book’s co-author Andrew Farago is the curator. There will be a costume contest (along with free entry for anyone in a DC Comics-themed costume), special guests like Devin K. Grayson, Sam Hamm, Mick Gray, and Steve Leialoha, and a behind the scenes look at the creation of some of Batman’s costumes on film. Head here for more details, and be sure to share the experience in the comments if you make it out there.

Batman: The Definitive History of the Dark Knight will be available in stores on October 22.
