Despite rumors having circulated for over a month, Matt Reeves has finally confirmed Jeffrey Wright will be playing Commissioner Gordon.
Reports surfaced in Sept. that Jeffrey Wright had been cast as Commissioner Gordon in Matt Reeves’ The Batman. To this point it had been referenced so much that it was easy to forget that it wasn’t yet official. Reeves took care of that on Wednesday with a tweet.

Wright joins a growing cast and crew that now includes Robert Pattinson as Batman, Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman, and Paul Dano as Riddler.
The Batman is scheduled to hit theaters on June 25, 2021.
