Filming has begun on the series finale of Arrow, and Stephen Amell decided to get ahead of the rumor mill on a guest appearance.
Taking to his Twitter account on Friday, Amell said, “There’ll be a lot of news coming out about our final episode over the next few months. I prefer when you hear it from us.” He concluded by saying “Welcome back Emily” and accompanying with a GIF of Emily Bett Rickards.

Rickards played Felicity Smoak on the first seven seasons of Arrow, but opted to not return for the eighth and final season. There have been many questions about whether or not she would return for the finale, but everyone concerned had said it seemed unlikely. Even with those comments saying she wouldn’t return, the consensus of fans and rumors was that she would be a part of it in some way.
Arrow is closing out its eighth season with a shortened run, and is primarily focusing on the build-up to the Crisis on Infinite Earths event in the early part of it.
