As the tweets continued to pour in on Sunday for the #releasethesnydercut event, two new voices joined the growing cry: Ben Affleck and Gal Gadot have both voiced their desire for the Snyder Cut.
While actors such as Jason Mamoa and Ray Fisher have been very vocal since the outset in their support for the campaign, Affleck, Gadot, and Henry Cavill have remained out of the fray. On Sunday that changed however as Affleck and Gadot both tweeted out the hashtag, #ReleaseTheSnyderCut.
Snyder, in turn, acknowledged both of them for their support.
The #ReleaseTheSnyderCut event on Sunday marked the second anniversary of the release of Justice League in theaters and was the latest installment in what has been a very active year for the movement. Since Snyder held a charity event earlier this year where he told a fan, “the movie is done, it exists” but it’s up to Warner Bros. to release it, there has been a slew of activity. From advertisements around San Diego Comic-Con to a billboard in Times Square during New York Comic-Con, the fans have been on the move.
Now that Affleck and Gadot have voiced their support, the ball seems to be pretty firmly in Warner Bros. court.
