Matt Reeves has found his Carmine Falcone for The Batman, and it’s John Turturro.
Reeves made the announcement of the casting decision as he has all of his others by taking to Twitter.

Carmine Falcone is one of the mob bosses of Gotham, and a frequent target of Batman’s fists. Tom Wilkinson played him in Batman Begins, and John Doman played him throughout the run of Gotham.
Turturro began his career in 1980 with an uncredited role in Raging Bull and has gone on to a list of credits as long as your arm. One of his most memorable is as Jesus Quintana in 1998’s The Big Lewbowski.
As The Batman continues to inch ever closer, the cast is filling out with Robert Pattinson as Batman, Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman, Paul Dano as The Riddler, Jeffrey Wright finally being confirmed as Commissioner Gordon, Andy Serkis as Alfred, and newcomer Jayme Lawson in what is reportedly an original role as a politician named Bella.
There’s still more cast to fill out, and, of course, the introduction of the Batsuit and Batmobile.
The Batman is scheduled to hit theaters on June 25, 2021.
