Joker creeps up the all-time box office list

With the billion-dollar benchmark in its rearview mirror, Joker is just continuing to climb up the all-time highest-grossing list.

Joker took in $2.82 million over the weekend in the U.S. to bring its domestic total to $326.93 million. Internationally it took in $7.6 million for a new foreign total of $708.8 million. This brings its global total to $1.035 billion off of a budget estimated between $55 and $70 million.

This new grand total propelled it up to the 38th place on the all-time box office list, replacing Despicable Me 3. Seeing as only $636,435 separates it from 37th place, it’s sure to move up at least a little further.

And if you were wondering, the top spot this weekend went to Frozen II with $127 million domestically and $223 million at the foreign box office for a global total of $350 million.

With a holiday weekend coming up in the U.S., we’ll see just how much life Joker has left in it.
