The first Stargirl trailer made its debut on Tuesday night on The CW as opposed to being shared via DC Universe.
Stargirl is having a bit of an identity crisis it seems. While the series was developed and filmed as a series for DC Universe, it is now being shared with the CW. The episodes will debut on DC Universe, air the following day on The CW, and then the day after that they will appear on the CW app.
As to the cast, the trailer shows us Luke Wilson as Pat Dugan and Joel McHale as the original Starman. While he mentions the Justice Society, we know we’ll be seeing other characters such as Hourman, Wildcat, Doctor Mid-Nite, and more.
It seems as it’s going to be quite the bustling series.
Our big questions is which outlet will make the call on a season 2 renewal? Does DC Universe have the final say or The CW? We’ll just have to wait and see.
Stargirl is set to debut in Spring 2020.
