Mxyzptlk, the imp that has been the pain in the side of Superman for years, will be coming to National City again.
Deadline exclusively revealed that Thomas Lennon (The State, Reno 911!) would be joining Supergirl on a recurring basis as Mxyzptlk. There’s no word on when he will make his debut or just how many episodes he will be appearing in.

In the comics, Mxyzptlk is from the 5th dimension and can use magic, one of the few things Kryptonians are vulnerable to. The only way to get rid of him is to trick him into saying his name backward. This will banish him back to the 5th dimension for a period of time. In the original iteration it was for a minimum of ninety days, but that limit later disappeared.
Lets see how Supergirl handles this new version of Mxyzptlk.
