The first long-range box office tracking has surfaced for Birds of Prey, and things are looking pretty healthy.

Box Office Pro is targeting an opening weekend between $40 million to $60 million, but with $49 million being pinpointed. This is a very similar range to the earliest tracking reports for Shazam! from the same service. That film ended up opening at $53.5 million, so a similar result wouldn’t be out of the realm of possibility.

As with all films, there are possible pros and cons that could impact the results. On the pro side, Margot Robbie was hugely popular in Suicide Squad as Harley. But at the same time that could be considered as a con because she will more than likely be the only drawing point.

As Shazam! will be the best comparison for now, Birds of Prey reportedly has a budget between $75 million to $84.5 million, and Shazam! came in somewhere between $80 million to $100 million If the latest film runs close to the same box office numbers, then everything should come out profitable for all involved.

Birds of Prey (And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) will be the first appearance of Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn since Suicide Squad. She will be joined by Mary Elizabeth Winstead as the Huntress, while Jurnee Smollett-Bell will be playing Black Canary. Rosie Perez will be playing Renee Montoya, and Ella Jay Basco as Cassandra Cain as well. And Ewan McGregor joined the cast as Gotham City villain Black Mask.

The Birds of Prey movie is scheduled to hit theaters on Feb. 7, 2020.
