As filming on Matt Reeves’ The Batman will reportedly begin in two weeks, new details are beginning to emerge. The detail that the vast majority of people are waiting on is what Robert Pattinson’s Batsuit will look like, and we may have a new idea.
Former Variety reporter Kris Tapley posted a tweet on Tuesday – since deleted – that gave some clues to Pattinson’s Batsuit. He stated that they would resemble Lee Bermejo’s designs. Fans did some digging and found fan art Bermejo posted of Pattinson in his Batman Nöel suit, and it appears this may be what we can expect.
Other:This a picture from Lee Bermejo’s Instagram story from back in September of fan art of Pattison in a batsuit resembling his style. The rumor is that the new suit will take inspiration from Lee Bermejo’s design.
Bermejo tends to favor a more utilitarian look to his Batsuits. A lot of mesh inserts, everything fastened with buckles and so on. He also tends to favor a shorter ear profile for the cowl.
Again, we want to stress this is based off of one report in a now-deleted tweet. We would take it with a definite grain of salt for the time being. From what little we’ve heard up until now about the design aesthetic, it does seem to match up.
We’re still not sure when the official unveiling of the latest Batsuit will happen, but we’re definitely eager to see it.
The Batman will hit theaters on June 25, 2021.
