Things are kicking up for Birds of Prey with just barely over a month to go before release. A new TV spot has arrived that gives us a first look at some new footage.
With the dawn of a new year – one that promises to be filled with a ton of DC news – the marketing seems to be ratcheting up for Birds of Prey. Jan. 1 saw a wave of Funko products announced for the film, and a new TV spot with additional footage.
Still no naming of Roman’s ‘army,’ but it certainly looks as though it is the False Face Society. Not exactly a hard mystery to solve as he’s the leader of the gang in the comics, but no confirmation they will be called by name in the film.
Birds of Prey (And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) will be the first appearance of Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn since Suicide Squad. She will be joined by Mary Elizabeth Winstead as the Huntress, while Jurnee Smollett-Bell will be playing Black Canary. Rosie Perez will be playing Renee Montoya, and Ella Jay Basco as Cassandra Cain as well. And Ewan McGregor joined the cast as Gotham City villain Black Mask.
The Birds of Prey movie is scheduled to hit theaters on Feb. 7, 2020.
