Dwayne Johnson is getting serious about 2020 being the year that he finally films Black Adam. He’s even letting us know that he’s training hard for the role.
“Kickin’ off 2020 training extremely hard for my upcoming role as Black Adam,” Johnson said via Instagram. “This one’s in my blood.”
We’re almost afraid to ponder what his definition of ‘training extremely hard’ is considering the shape he is in already.
He then went on to share some training images.
And another mentioning that shooting starts in the summer.
And a final one saying the “the hierarchy of power in the DC Universe is about to change.”
Black Adam has been in various stages of development for years now, with many promised starts to production. However, a release date was finally announced this past Nov., and it looks as though everything is finally moving ahead. Rumors have been coming in of both Hawkman and Hawkgirl showing up in the film, as well as more members of the JSA.
If this all comes to be, it sounds as though Black Adam may end up being the launchpad for several more films in our future.
Black Adam will hit theaters on Dec. 22, 2021.
