Filming has officially begun on Matt Reeves’ The Batman, and the first set photos have already emerged.

Following up on a report from earlier, Jeffrey Wright reported to set on Sunday to film scenes for The Batman. A third-party report later said that the filming would take place in Central London and would be exterior shooting. That has proven to be correct and the first set photos have emerged to confirm.

The first tweet shows a “Gotham Action News” van as well as a Gotham police car, and a “Gotham Water & Power” truck. Also shown are some Gotham police officers between takes.

The second tweet provided some additional angles on the vehicles.

This, of course, gives us no indication of what is happening in the scene, but we do have confirmation that filming is underway. Buckle up as every possible exterior shot is sure to be showing up.

The Batman is scheduled to hit theaters on June 25, 2021.
