In the Batwoman series on The CW, we never see Batman, but we did see his Batsuit. Before that ever happened, however, someone had to design it and that fell to Andy Poon.
When Batwoman first showed us the Batsuit, it was on a mannequin and covered in cobwebs, so we didn’t get a great look at it. Andy Poon was brought in to design it and shared one of his renderings on his Instagram recently.
“As I said in my previous post, one of the highlights of 2019 was actually joining the Bat family. Thank you again to costume designer Maya Mani for bringing me on to work on the cape crusader himself.” He went on to add, “Here is a cropped version of the Batman suit concept which in the story of @cwbatwoman is the base of Kate’s Batwoman suit designed by @colleenatwoodofficial.”
With The Batman now in production, and everyone wondering what Robert Pattinson’s Batsuit will look like, it’s nice to see another design out there. Overall, we dig it.
