We’re finally getting some details about the upcoming Green Lantern television series. It definitely sounds as though Greg Berlanti and HBO have quite a bit in mind for this series.
HBO Max Head of Original Content Sarah Aubrey told the assembled press at the TCA, “It’s going to span several decades and focus on two stories about Green Lanterns on Earth” and it will also be “going into the Sinestro story.” We’ll also be spending some time in space, but no word on how much of the series that will make up.
Sinestro was always a bit of a given as not having him would be like a Batman that never faced down the Joker.
Speculation will, of course, run rampant as to who the two Green Lanterns on Earth will be. Hal Jordan seems like a given, but there a lot to choose from the second. We’re going to guess John Stewart just based on his popularity, but we’ll have to wait and see.
Still no indication as to when the series will premiere, cast, or any other major details, but we can’t wait to learn more.
