
Joker has continued its winning ways taking home three BAFTA awards in London.
BAFTA awards are presented by the British Academy of Film and Television Arts and are considered the Academy Awards of the U.K.
Joker had a total of 11 nominations and it went home with a total of three awards. Its first award was for Best Casting, and then it was Hildur Guđnadóttir’s turn to rack up another award for her original score. She has also won a Golden Globe, a Critics’ Choice Award, and the Premio Soundtrack Stars Award at the Venice Film Festival for this work.
The third award went to Joaquin Phoenix for Leading Actor. Phoenix has already won the Golden Globe, Critics’ Choice, and Screen Actors Guild awards for this role.
Phoenix is next up for the Academy Award for the role with the ceremony being hosted on Feb. 9.
