The Batman reportedly shifts filming locations to Cardington Sheds

Filming on The Batman has reportedly commenced at the well-known Cardington Sheds in the U.K.

Reports started surfacing back in Dec. of last year that the Cardington Sheds were being prepped for use during the production of The Batman. It was said that a cathedral was being built inside for a funeral scene, but no more information was available.

Then, in early Feb. of this year, a letter reportedly went out to residents and businesses around the site that filming was to commence on Feb. 12.

On Feb. 14, the Cardington Sheds Twitter fan account returned to say, “Shed 1…. Filming is in full swing… the place is filled with American police, swat teams and loads of people dressed in funeral attire…”

There had been some theories of this being the funeral of Thomas and Martha Wayne, but with the police and S.W.A.T. teams would seem to rule that out. With the confirmation of Carmine Falcone being involved in the story, it seems far more likely it may involve him and his family.

Reports still indicate that filming will move up to Glasgow, Scotland before the end of the month. There have also been reports that the crew is hunting for American cars to be used during that portion of the filming.

With the Batsuit having now been revealed, one has to suspect Robert Pattinson will be photographed on set in the not too distant future.

The Batman is due to hit theaters on June 25, 2021.
