Mattel at Toy Fair 2020: Dolls, Hot Wheels, and Imaginext

Mattel had a strong showing at Toy Fair 2020 with the return of Masters of the Universe, but there was much more to be seen, including numerous DC products. From preschool to dolls, there was a lot to focus on.

DC Super Hero Girls

The DC Super Hero Girls didn’t have anything to add this year, but you’re still going to find them on shelves.

Hot Wheels

There will be two new additions to DC vehicles in Hot Wheels. You’ll find a Bruce Wayne Lamborghini from the Dark Knight trilogy. There will also be a Jokerized version of the Batmobile.

Imaginext is getting several new pieces this year including a massive Batcave playset that will come with an unmasked Batman, Robin, Catwoman, Joker, and Mr. Freeze. It’s loaded with accessories and play features.

There will be a new line of Surprise Slammers that include a figure and a two-piece vehicle in every package. There will be a mixture of Batman, Joker, and Mr. Freeze. There will also be female versions of each character meaning Batgirl, Harley Quinn, and Killer Frost.

Finally, there will be a new group of Imaginext XL figures of Batman, Superman, and the Flash.

Wonder Woman 1984

Wrapping things up will be three fashion dolls based on Wonder Woman 1984 including Wonder Woman in her basic costume, Golden Armor Wonder Woman, and Barbara Ann Minerva.

Of everything we saw, we got to demo the Slammers, and the act of slamming them on a surface and seeing the figure launch out the top of the box is really satisfying.

Be on the lookout for all of these new products throughout the year.
