FX has found the next actor to tackle the role of Yorick Brown in Y, its adaptation of Vertigo’s Y: The Last Man.

It was announced in February that Barry Keoghan had dropped out of Y despite it being picked up to series. He had completed the pilot for the series meaning that all of his scenes will now need to be refilmed.

Now, Ben Schnetzer (Warcraft, Pride) will be taking on the role Yorick Brown in Y. The story will follow that of the 2002 comic series that sees Yorick wake one morning to discover that he and his capuchin monkey, Ampersand, are the last two males alive on Earth. The story then follows as they venture into this new world filled with nothing but women.

The series will also star Diane Lane as Senator Jennifer Brown, Imogen Poots as Hero Brown, Latasha Lynch as Agent 355, Juliana Canfield as Beth, Marin Ireland as Nora, Amber Tamblyn as Mariette Callows, and Timothy Hutton as the U.S. President.

Y was scheduled to debut in 2020, but may now be delayed due to the reshoots needed on the pilot episode. No official announcement has been made as of yet.
