Just how long is the filming schedule for The Batman? This is a question we have seen multiple times, but have had no solid information on. Now, thanks to Zoe Kravitz appearing on a podcast, we may finally know.

Appearing on the Questlove Supreme podcast in support of her Hulu series High Fidelity, the topic of The Batman inevitably comes up. Host Questlove asked Kravitz what the production is like which she called “intense.” “We started shooting a couple weeks ago,” said Kravitz, “but before that, I was in London for two months just getting in shape, training, learning fights.”

“We’re shooting until this summer,” Kravitz added. “It’s a long shoot.”

Taking into account we know the film officially began production on Jan. 27 – despite some apparent second unit shooting three weeks earlier – it does sound as though this will be a long shoot. Summer officially begins on June 20 in the Northern hemisphere, but, of course, few people use that as the actual delineator of the season.

Any way you slice it, it sounds as though The Batman will be in production for some time.

The Batman will see Robert Pattinson as Batman, Kravitz as Catwoman, Paul Dano as The Riddler, Colin Farrell as the Penguin, Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth, John Turturro as Carmine Falcone, and Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner Gordon.

The Batman will hit theaters on June 25, 2021.
