Shooting on The Batman suspended due to coronavirus concerns

It seemed inevitable, but shooting on The Batman has been suspended amidst the coronavirus pandemic.

Movie productions and television productions have been shutting down amidst the growing health concerns globally.

“Warner Bros. Pictures feature production of The Batman will be on a two-week hiatus starting today. The studio will continue to monitor the situation closely,” a studio spokesperson told Deadline.

There is no indication that this will cause a delay to the release of the film. Should it go on past a two-week work stoppage, that may become a concern. For now, consider the film to still be on schedule.

The Batman will see Robert Pattinson as Batman, Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman, Paul Dano as The Riddler, Colin Farrell as the Penguin, Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth, John Turturro as Carmine Falcone, and Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner Gordon.

The Batman is due to hit theaters on June 25, 2021.
