Upcoming Comics: April 1, 2020

What? An Upcoming Comics post? Didn’t Diamond announce that they were suspending shipments due to Covid-19? Doesn’t that mean that new releases won’t be hitting retailers for now? Yes. Yes. And yes. But… There are still a few things hitting digital this week, so we at least wanted to make sure you were aware of that. Before we jump into that though, we do have a few announcements and reminders.

First off, I want to start by sending out a heartfelt farewell to Brian! He is stepping away from Batman-News to put his full attention into Comics Now. As I’m sure you’ve noticed, Brian has slowly been stepping away from responsibilities here due to the growth of Comics Now. While I’m sad to see him go, I couldn’t be happier for the success Brian (and Jay) have created over there! They’re friends for life, and I’m genuinely happy to see them succeed! While I will miss Brian’s content here at Batman News, I know he’s just a click away. He will be posting a farewell soon (I’m trying not to steal his thunder), so be on the lookout for that, and make sure you continue to check out Comics Now for the latest comics news and reviews!

Also, in case you missed it, we recently announced our Quarantine Book Club! With the lack of new releases hitting shelves, we wanted to make sure we continued to cover Batman books, and potentially help comic shops in the process. Thus, the Quarantine Book Club was created! Each week, we will cover a graphic novel, then post a round-table discussion on Friday sharing our thoughts on that week’s book. For full details, as well as our April schedule, please check out our official announcement!

Alright, on to this week’s releases! There are two digital-first series that will be released, so if you’re looking for some newness, check out these books!
