Dwayne Johnson confirms Black Adam filming is delayed

Black Adam - 01

In a not so surprising bit of news, Dwayne Johnson has confirmed that filming on Black Adam has been delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Johnson has been promising for some time now that Black Adam was finally going to begin filming in July, but, of course, that was before the coronavirus pandemic delayed everything in Hollywood. During some time with his fans on social media, Johnson announced that the start of production has been pushed back and will likely commence in August or September.

When the shutdowns began, Johnson was filming Red Notice for Netflix with Ryan Reynolds and Gal Gadot. He will need to return to that production and finish it before he moves on to any other projects, so that film resuming production will very much determine when Black Adam can start.

Black Adam is currently scheduled to hit theaters on Dec. 22, 2021, but we fully expect that to be pushed back to early 2022 at some point.
