It seems you can’t keep a good plant down as DC Universe’s Swamp Thing series is going to shamble over to The CW.
To be clear with this news, the Swamp Thing series is not coming back with new episodes. The CW, like so many other channels, is searching desperately for completed content to air. With the coronavirus pandemic continuing to stall TV and film production, the networks are going to be in need of fresh content to show their viewers.
On Monday The CW not only picked up Swamp Thing, but it also grabbed rights to season 1 and 2 of the canceled CBS All Access series Tell Me a Story, two seasons of the CBC drama Coroner, and the first season of British comedy Dead Pixels.
There’s no word as of as to when Swamp Thing will make its debut on The CW, but we’ll keep an eye out for it. While it can be a bummer watching a series you know got canceled, we still enjoyed the series and it’s worth checking out.
