A look at Entertainment Earth’s exclusive Loungefly Rainbow Batpack

Funko is probably the most successful purveyor of licensed merch in the business. Their POP! line is known to all, and their spin-off vinyl figures like DorbzPint Size Heroes, and Mystery Minis are pretty healthy product lines themselves.

But something else Funko is great at is recognizing other quality brands and bringing them on-board, just as they did when they acquired Loungefly in 2018. Loungefly makes tons of great bags, wallets, and small accessories, across a variety of licenses, and if you’ve never seen them in person, you should—they look awesome. I’ve seen quite a few at Toy Fair the past few years, but I finally got my hands on one when Entertainment Earth sent Batman News their exclusive Batman Rainbow Logo Mini-Backpack.

This pack is inspired by the cover of March 1957’s Detective Comics #241, and combines all six colors from the cover and applies them to what many Batfans consider the definitive emblem for the character.

You can see pics on the Entertainment Earth website, but if you’re like me, it’s nice to see something you’re going to carry and/or wear in a more natural setting, so have a look:

I don’t know about you, but I think that just looks fantastic. What’s more, it appears to be made really well, too. The material is a faux leather that feels really nice, and the zippers are super solid. All of the stitching looks clean and well-done, though time will tell if it can stand up to my youngest son stuffing it with toys and carrying it around.

Another detail I love is that Batman logo zipper pull:

I loved this simple logo. I’ve usually seen it with a pictorial backdrop, like on this Hush cover:

I just think it’s a great, simple choice for this pack, which, rainbow colors aside, really is nicely understated.

But if you could make yourself more than a bag…

You can carry your stuff in anything. But why not carry it in a colorful, bat-stamped mini-backpack? Even if you’re not going to put it over your shoulders and walk around the city, you could stuff it with toiletries and head out on your first post-Corona vacation looking just that little bit more stylish.

This EE-exclusive mini-pack is coming later this month. Head over to Entertainment Earth to order yours.
