Brenton Thwaites offers an update on Titans season 3

Television and film production is slowly inching back to life in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic, but one show that we have not heard much about yet is Titans.

Titans season 1 debuted on DC Universe on Oct. 12, 2018. Season 2 then debuted on Sept. 6, 2019. It wasn’t too much of a leap to think season 3 would aim for fall 2020, but no one was expecting a global pandemic to get in the way, either.

Speaking with Rotten Tomatoes recently, Brenton Thwaites (Dick Grayson/Nightwing) offered a brief update on the series, saying, “I’ve received a few scripts, so they’ve written a little bit and I think they are just waiting to see, yeah, waiting to see if we can shoot.”

Typically, Titans has been in production from April to October, so the series is now significantly behind its typical production cycle. Even if filming was to begin immediately, it appears we’re definitely looking at a debut sometime in 2021. But at this point we’re probably looking at a mid to late 2021 debut for season 3.

There is also a question where the series will be shown at the junction as well. Evidence seems to be mounting that all DC Universe originals will be moving to HBO Max, so it’s quite plausible that is where the new episodes will make their debut.

Only time will tell when Titans season 3 will begin production, but films and television do appear to be getting back into the swing of things.
