DC FanDome is only a few days away, but thanks to a trademark filing in Europe, it appears that a big reveal for The Batman has been uncovered.
Since the camera test reveal of the suit for The Batman, it was pretty clear we were going to have a non-traditional Bat symbol for the upcoming film. How will it translate to products though? A new trademark filing in Europe seems to give us some idea.
The trademark filing includes a list of possible products it will be used on about as long as your arm, so it appears this is indeed the symbol we will be seeing when products hit shelves closer to the film’s release. Everything from gardening gloves to fanny packs are included in the filing, so expect to see this symbol on everything.
If the symbol does have a backstory as some rumors have indicated, then we can’t say that we’ll hate seeing this everywhere.
You can check out the full application on the EUIPO website. Many thanks to Brian Conroy for the heads up.
Currently, The Batman is scheduled to hit theaters on Oct. 1, 2021. Filming on the film is rumored to resume in Sept.
