Wonder Woman 1984 is inching towards release at long last, and the cast and crew were at DC FanDome to support it.
The new Wonder Woman 1984 trailer has arrived, and we’re shown a lot of new footage. And yes, it finally includes our first look at the final form of Cheetah (Kristen Wiig).
While the plot of the movie is still not entirely clear, it does appear that Maxwell Lord (Pedro Pascal) has a grand, nefarious plan, but no clue what that is exactly as of yet. As to how and why Barbara Ann Minerva becomes Cheetah we’ll just have to wait and see, but it looks great.
Fast forward to the 1980s as Wonder Woman’s next big screen adventure finds her facing two all-new foes: Max Lord and The Cheetah.
With director Patty Jenkins back at the helm and Gal Gadot returning in the title role, “Wonder Woman 1984” is Warner Bros. Pictures’ follow up to the DC Super Hero’s first outing, 2017’s record-breaking “Wonder Woman,” which took in $822 million at the worldwide box office. The film also stars Chris Pine as Steve Trevor, Kristen Wiig as The Cheetah, Pedro Pascal as Max Lord, Robin Wright as Antiope, and Connie Nielsen as Hippolyta.
Wonder Woman 1984 is currently scheduled to hit theaters on Oct. 2.
