Batman: Black and White returns this December in a six-issue miniseries

Take one of the world’s most popular fictional characters.

Add in some of the comic industry’s most talented creators.

Then present it all in glorious black and white.  What do you have?

Why, Batman: Black and White, of course.  DC Comics have announced that the beloved anthology series from yesteryear is making a comeback this December, with some added twists.  It will still be an anthology series, of course, with acclaimed writers and artists collaborating on unique, standalone Batman stories, but the six-issue miniseries will be released in 48-page, Prestige Format installments.  That means longer issues and larger pages, all the better to soak in all that gorgeous artwork.

And gorgeous it’s destined to be, as the likes of Lee Weeks, Tradd Moore, J.H. Williams III, Mitch Gerads, Andy Kubert, and Nick Bradshaw will collaborate with writers as diverse as Chip Zdarsky, Tim Seeley, Sophie Campbell, Emma Rios, and Paul Dini.

The first issue will ship with an excellent cover from Greg Capullo, and each issue will have two different variants that depict Batman and a member of his rogues gallery, respectively.  Pretty exciting stuff, so check out the details below.
