Flash Q&A at DC FanDome promises ‘a lot of heroes’

The Flash 2022 - New Suit - DC FanDome - 01

Day 2 of DC FanDome is entitled “Explore the Multiverse,” and no one embodies that more than the Flash, and it seems that is where his movie is going.

A Q&A session was held for The Flash with Ezra Miller, Andy Muschietti, and Barbara Muschietti answering questions. Andy confirmed the film is ‘inspired’ by the Flashpoint storyline, but not a direct adaptation. He promised you would still have a lot of surprises in the film.

Meanwhile, Barbara had perhaps the most telling answer of the Q&A as she said, “There are a lot of DC characters in it. Flash is the superhero of this film because he is the bridge between all of these characters and timelines. And, in a way, it restarts everything and doesn’t forget anything.”

We know that Michael Keaton and Ben Affleck are both scheduled to appear in the film, and Ray Fisher is in talks to return as Cyborg. Could there be more characters on the way? We just don’t know yet.

While there has been some talk of The Flash serving as a hard reset on the DCEU, it’s beginning to sound as though it is simply going to say that all live-action DC projects are valid. You just have to accept they don’t all exist in the same universe.

We can only hope this means we’ll get an additional Grant Gustin/Ezra Miller scene.

The Flash is set to hit theaters on June 3, 2022.
