Watchmen picks up four Creative Arts Emmy awards

Watchmen is off to a running start with its 26 Emmy nominations, picking up four statues at the Creative Arts Emmy section of the awards.

During the third night of the Creative Arts Emmys, HBO’s Watchmen took home four statues. The wins came in the following categories: Outstanding Cinematography For a Limited Series or Movie, Outstanding Fantasy/Sci-Fi Costumes, Outstanding Single-Camera Picture Editing For a Limited Series or Movie, and Outstanding Sound Mixing for a Limited Series or Movie.

The Creative Arts Emmys are the portion of the awards that honor everything that goes into making a show. Throughout this week these awards are being given out, and then Sunday night will be the portion that includes categories such as Best Actor, Best Drama and so forth. In total, the series is up for 26 awards, but its total number of wins will be limited somewhat as in cases such as Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Limited Series or a Movie, the series has three nominees. (Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Jovan Adepo, and Louis Gossett Jr. in this case.)

The odds are definitely in favor that Watchmen will be taking home more statues before the Emmys conclude on Sunday night.
