An international Wonder Woman 1984 trailer is showing off a few clips of additional footage.
It’s always interesting to see the different trailers for various countries. The new Wonder Woman 1984 trailer from Japan is about 98% the same as the U.S. trailers, but there is an additional shot here or there, and most are just extensions of ones we have already seen. Sometimes you see one country emphasize a different aspect of a story than another country, but in this case they trace fairly close together.
Wonder Woman 1984 has had quite the path making it to the big screen. The film was originally scheduled to release on Nov. 1, 2019. It was announced in Oct. 2018, however, that the film would push back seven months to the June 5, 2020 release date. It was further delayed in March due to the coronavirus pandemic. At that time the date moved to Aug. 14, and then on June 12, it moved to Oct. 2. The latest change came on Sept. 11 where it briefly had no date, but eventually was moved to a Christmas day release.
Hopefully this will be the final move, but it was be determined by the level of the ongoing pandemic as the date draws closer.
Fast forward to the 1980s as Wonder Woman’s next big screen adventure finds her facing two all-new foes: Max Lord and The Cheetah.
Wonder Woman 1984 is currently scheduled to hit theaters on Dec. 25.
