Just a month after the resumption of the filming of various TV series in Vancouver, production is being halted on most productions.

According to a report from Deadline, filming in Vancouver has been brought to a halt due to delays in COVID-19 test results coming back. The delays are now exceeding 72 hours for both cast and crew. The delays are being attributed to a rise in cases throughout British Columbia and the one lab authorized to run the tests is now prioritizing tests from local citizens and business.

Shows such as Batwoman, Riverdale, Charmed, The Mighty Ducks, and Nancy Drew that were already in production and have shut down. The Flash, Supergirl, and Legends of Tomorrow are due to begin production this week and have now been delayed until further notice.

The shutdown is said to be a day-by-day situation right now, and filming could resume at any time. There is, however, also a shortage of tests that are causing concern as to how long filming is sustainable at the moment.

The CW is planning for its shows to begin airing new episodes as early as Jan. 2021, but no word yet if these delays will cause those debuts to be delayed.
