It looks as though work is getting close to beginning on the Peacemaker TV series for HBO Max.
James Gunn shared over the weekend that he had just received a Series X XBox, and it just happened to coincide with the start of his two-week quarantine for work to begin in Canada. “Anyway I just started my two-week quarantine here in Canada before ramping up production on Peacemaker so maybe I’ll have to squeeze in a little game time,” said Gunn.
While we’ve known that the Peacemaker series was coming, we hadn’t heard any sort of timeline on production as of yet. All we’ve had confirmed is that it will be eight episodes, and that John Cena will return as the titular character. Steve Agee is also said to be returning as John Economos, the warden of Belle Reve Federal Penitentiary.
No official release date for Peacemaker has been announced as of yet.
