The Peacemaker cast is growing as Denielle Brooks has been added to the cast.
It was announced on Wednesday that Brooke, best known for appearing in all seven seasons of Orange is the New Black, will be playing a character named Leota Adebayo. Nothing is known about her character as of yet, or how she may connect to John Cena’s Peacemaker.
James Gunn took to social media shortly after the announcement to say, “So stoked to be working with {Danielle Brooks], an actress I’ve admired for a long time, and can’t wait for all of you to meet her character in #Peacemaker.”
Gunn is currently in Canada doing his mandatory quarantine before beginning work on the series later in Nov.
All we’ve had confirmed is that it will be eight episodes, and that Cena will return as the titular character. Steve Agee is also said to be returning as John Economos, the warden of Belle Reve Federal Penitentiary.
No official release date for Peacemaker has been announced as of yet.
