Despite long delays in updates, Ava DuVernay has shared that work is continuing on hew New Gods.
DuVernay has been busy lately with her TV projects. DMZ is moving forward at HBO Max, and Naomi is in development at The CW. With all of that in the works, you would understandaly be right to be a little concerned about New Gods.
Never fear, it’s still in the works.
Answering a request for an update from a fan, DuVernary said, “This surreal year has given us time to dig in even more. Enjoying going even deeper into the mind and musings of Jack Kirby with [Tom King].”
We’re not quite sure where DuVernay will fit this in her very schedule, but we can’t wait to see where this goes. Hopefully it will be sooner rather than later.
