James Gunn’s Peacemaker series adds four more cast members

Peacemaker - Announcement - 01

The cast of the Peacemaker series just keeps growing as four more cast members have joined the project.

Peacemaker, a spinoff from the upcoming The Suicide Squad movie, is preparing to shoot in Vancouver after the first of the year. In the leadup to the production, more cast has been added to the growing series.

On Thursday, Chukwudi Iwuji (When They See Us) was announced as a series regular, while Lochlyn Munro (Riverdale), Annie Chang (Shades of Blue), and Christopher Heyerdahl (Togo) were added as recurring guest stars. James Gunn revealed their character names in a tweet saying, “Chukwudi Iwuji is Clemson Murn [Annie Chang] is Detective Sophie Song [Lochlyn Munro] is Detective Larry Fitzgibbon and [Christopher Heyerdahl] is Captain Locke.”

Other previous additions to the cast beyond John Cena in the lead role have included Steve Agee, Danielle Brooks was later added, and then three more got the nod including Chris Conrad, Jennifer Holland, and Robert Patrick.

It is still unknown at this time if Peacemaker is a prequel or a sequel to the film. There has also not been an announcement of a premiere date for the series as of yet, but we imagine it will be sometime around the Aug. 2021 release of The Suicide Squad.
