John Cena talks The Suicide Squad and Peacemaker with Jimmy Fallon

No, your eyes did not deceive you, John Cena did indeed appear on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon in his full Peacemaker costume.

Cena dropped by The Tonight Show on Monday night remotely from the set of the Peacemaker series to discuss his upcoming Mountain Dew ad for the 2021 Super Bowl. As he was on the set of the series we got a bit of a look at Peacemaker’s home (“I live in a single-wide.”) and Cena opted to do the entire interview in costume, complete with his helmet.

The biggest piece of news was that he confirmed that the Peacemaker TV series should debut “shortly” after the release of The Suicide Squad in Aug. Going by that, it sounds as though we will see the series before the year is out.

Cena then stuck around for a second segment – still in costume – to play “Think Fast” with Fallon.

We have to say this for Cena, he certainly seems like a fun individual who very clearly loves his job.

The Suicide Squad is due to hit theaters and HBO Max on Aug. 6, 2021.
