The upcoming Peacemaker series has added two more castmembers in the form of Elizabeth Faith Ludlow and Rizwan Manji.
It seems like there are going to be a lot of characters running around Peacemaker’s little slice of the DC universe as the upcoming series has added two more castmembers. Ludlow will be playing Keeya and Manji will be taking on Jamil. No character descriptions were released, so there’s no telling as of yet who they are or how they release to the titular character.
Ludlow played Arat on The Walking Dead and appeared in Another Life on Netflix. Manji has appeared in numerous series including as Ray Butani on Schitt’s Creek, Norm on Mr. Robot, Reverend Jax on Perfect Harmony, and many more.
Other previous additions to the cast beyond John Cena in the lead role have included Steve Agee, Danielle Brooks was later added, and then three more got the nod including Chris Conrad, Jennifer Holland, and Robert Patrick. Another round of cast additions were announced in Dec. 2020 including Chukwudi Iwuji (When They See Us) as a series regular, while Lochlyn Munro (Riverdale), Annie Chang (Shades of Blue), and Christopher Heyerdahl (Togo) were added as recurring guest stars.
It is still unknown at this time if Peacemaker is a prequel or a sequel to the film. There has also not been an announcement of a premiere date for the series as of yet, but Cena has indicated it won’t be too long after the release of the film. The Suicide Squad is due to hit theaters and HBO Max on Aug. 6, 2021.
