Alison Araya & Lenny Jacobson join Peacemaker series

James Gunn’s Peacemaker series is adding two more cast members to its growing roster.

Variety revealed on Tuesday that Alison Araya and Lenny Jacobson as a married couple named Amber and Evan and will appear on a recurring basis. Araya has appeared on Riverdale and Arrow, while Jacobson appeared in Narcos: Mexico and Bumblebee.

Other previous additions to the cast beyond John Cena in the lead role include Steve Agee, Danielle Brooks was later added, and then three more got the nod including Chris Conrad, Jennifer Holland, and Robert Patrick. Another round of cast additions were announced in Dec. 2020 including Chukwudi Iwuji (When They See Us) as a series regular, while Lochlyn Munro (Riverdale), Annie Chang (Shades of Blue), and Christopher Heyerdahl (Togo) were added as recurring guest stars. Elizabeth Faith Ludlow and Rizwan Manji were added in early February, and were joined by Nhut Le as Judomaster later in the month.

It is still unknown if Peacemaker is a prequel or a sequel to The Suicide Squad. The series is currently targeting a Jan. 2022 premiere, and The Suicide Squad is due to hit theaters and HBO Max on Aug. 6, 2021.
