Sasha Calle will be joining the upcoming The Flash movie from Andy Muschietti as Supergirl.
Following a top secret casting process, it has been revealed that Sasha Calle (Young and the Restless) will be taking on the role of Supergirl. Up until now, it hadn’t been revealed that the Kryptonian would be in the film.
“I saw more than four hundred auditions. The U.S., Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, Colombia. The talent pool was truly amazing and it was very hard to make a decision, but we finally found an actress who was destined to play this role,” said Muschietti.
Muschietti released a video of Calle being informed of her having secured the role.

According to a report from Deadline, the actresses that auditioned weren’t informed of what role they were going for until towards the end of the process. Then a select number of them did chemistry tests with Ezra Miller via Zoom calls.
Calle is best known for playing Lola Rosales on CBS’ The Young and the Restless. She received a Daytime Emmy nomination in 2020 for Outstanding Young Performer in a Drama Series.
The Flash is set to hit theaters on Nov. 4, 2022.
