Dwayne Johnson shares a page from Black Adam script

After years of discussions, Dwayne Johnson has announced production on Black Adam begins in three weeks, and to celebrate, he has shared a little teaser from the script.

Johnson has been talking about the Black Adam movie for the better part of a decade, and it appears that everything is finally a go. Johnson took to his Instagram late on Sunday night to announce the film is not just three weeks away from beginning production, and he is still giving script notes.

Showing off his copy of the script with various notes throughout, he showed off the first page with text he says he has known for “years, and years, and years.”

And here is the text from the page.

Well, I’d love to wear a rainbow every day.
And tell the world that everything’s okay.
But I’ll try to carry off a little darkness on my back.
Till things are brighter…

I’m the Man In Black.

It seems unlikely that this text will appear in the film, but it is more just a way of setting the mood for the script.

Johnson’s Black Adam will be joined by Aldis Hodge as Hawkman, Noah Centineo as Atom Smasher, and Quintessa Swindell as CycloneMarwan Kenzari as the film’s villain, and  Sarah Shahi will be playing a university professor turned freedom fighter who is leading the resistance in Kahndaq. Still to be announced is who will be playing Doctor Fate.

The Black Adam release date is still a question mark at this time.<em>The Suicide Squad</em> is due to hit theaters and HBO Max on Aug. 6, 2021.
