At long last we know who will be playing Doctor Fate as Pierce Brosnan has joined the cast of Black Adam.
According to a new report from The Hollywood Reporter, Brosnan has landed the role of DC’s powerful and enigmatic mystic, Doctor Fate. He was the last member of the Justice Society that had not been announced yet and will be joining the likes of Atom Smasher, Cyclone, and Hawkman in opposing Dwayne Johnson as Black Adam.
Brosnan has had a long career dating back several decades including outings as James Bond in Golden Eye and more. He also has appeared in both Mamma Mia! films, The Thomas Crown Affair, and on TV as Remington Steele.
Johnson’s Black Adam will be joined by Aldis Hodge as Hawkman, Noah Centineo as Atom Smasher, and Quintessa Swindell as Cyclone. Marwan Kenzari as the film’s villain, and Sarah Shahi will be playing a university professor turned freedom fighter who is leading the resistance in Kahndaq.
The Black Adam release date is still a question mark at this time.
