Dwayne Johnson’s long-gestating Black Adam film has added a new cast member with stand-up comedian Mo Amer.
After years of waiting, Black Adam is finally in production, but the movie is still currently adding cast members. The latest to join the film is Mo Amer.
It is still unknown who Amer is playing at this time. Amer is best known for his stand-up special on Netflix called Mo Amer: The Vagabond and stars in the Hulu sitcom Ramy as Ramy Yousseg’s cousin Mo.
Johnson’s Black Adam will be joined by Pierce Brosnan as Doctor Fate, Aldis Hodge as Hawkman, Noah Centineo as Atom Smasher, and Quintessa Swindell as Cyclone. Marwan Kenzari as the film’s villain, and Sarah Shahi will be playing a university professor turned freedom fighter who is leading the resistance in Kahndaq.
The Black Adam release date is set for July 29, 2022.
