The Flash movie officially begins filming

Andy Muschietti has announced that The Flash has officially begun production with the reveal of a new title card and some music.

After years of delays, The Flash movie is finally in production. Andy Muschietti shared a video to his Instagram to mark the occasion. “Here we go!!! THE FLASH Day 1. #theflashmovie,” said the director.

The Flash is quickly assembling a massive cast. Miller is signed on to play the Scarlet Speedster. He will be joined by with Maribel Verdú as Nora Allen, Kiersey Clemons as Iris West Michael Keaton (though that may still be up in the air), and Ben Affleck playing their respective versions of Batman. The most recent addition was Ron Livingston taking over the role of Henry Allen due to Billy Crudup having a scheduling conflict. Andy Muschietti (IT) is directing from a script by Christina Hodson (Birds of Prey). Barbara Muschietti and Michael Disco are producing, while Marianne Jenkins will serve as an executive producer.

The Flash is set to hit theaters on Nov. 4, 2022.
